Accessing this website, completing an intake form, uploading documents, communicating with NY Hope or booking a consultation does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and NY Hope or between you and any attorney.

An attorney-client relationship may arise only if an independent attorney has completed any necessary conflict checks, agreed to accept your matter and confirmed the engagement in writing under that attorney's own engagement letter or fee agreement.

NY Hope may introduce users to one or more independent attorneys whose stated licensing jurisdiction and practice areas appear to correspond with the information submitted. NY Hope does not rank, recommend, endorse or guarantee any attorney.

Attorneys participating in the NY Hope network are independent legal professionals. They are not employees, partners, agents or representatives of NY Hope. NY Hope does not control their legal advice, professional judgment, fees, engagement decisions or handling of any matter.

NY Hope does not guarantee that:

• an attorney will be available;
• an introduction will be made;
• an attorney will accept a matter;
• representation will commence within a particular period; or
• any particular result or outcome will be achieved.

NY Hope is not an emergency legal service and does not guarantee that an intake will be reviewed or answered within any particular period.

You are not required to engage an attorney introduced through NY Hope and remain free to seek legal assistance from any other attorney or legal-services provider.

NY Hope may review publicly available information concerning an attorney's licensing status and stated practice areas. Users remain responsible for deciding whether to engage an attorney and may independently verify an attorney's credentials and disciplinary history with the relevant licensing authority.

Legal deadlines are not suspended while an intake is being reviewed. Users remain responsible for protecting their rights, responding to court papers and complying with all applicable deadlines unless and until an attorney has confirmed representation in writing.

Information submitted to NY Hope may not be protected by attorney-client privilege. Users should not submit information that they consider highly confidential unless it is reasonably necessary for the intake process.
